You've got hotels of course, but they might not always be in the best location that would allow you to see and do all you feel to. If you want to be in a key location, a location that will allow you to access all the activities you are involved in without problem, then a holiday cottage would be the ideal base for you. Holiday cottages also offer you with the space that is so frequently lacking in a hotel room. The last thing some people desire on holiday is to be cooped up in a little hotel room at the end of the day! They can come with however many bedrooms you call for, from one to three or four or yet more. They will have a large lounge, kitchen diner and bathroom. Some larger ones with multiple bedrooms even come with en-suite bathrooms!

One vacation I went on was a fishing trip with family and friends to Scotland. There is so much gorgeous countryside to view up in Scotland that we thought rather than staying in a hotel, we would book a cottage for us all. We stayed in Aviemore, in a beautiful three bedroom cottage. It was a fairly new build, perhaps a couple of years old, so had all the recent conveniences you would expect in a modern build.

Even though they are advertised as cottages, don't be misled by the regular misconception that cottages are always undersized in proportion. This one certainly wasn't! All three bedrooms were a excellentdouble size and the master bedroom had an en-suite bathroom. faultless to ease the congestion that comes with the morning rush of people wanting to use the family bathroom! The living room was huge and light with neutral decor and snug furnishings. The best technique to end a day of fishing or walking in the Scottish countryside is to snuggle up on a comfy sofa with a cup of tea in front of the TV. The kitchen was large with all the high spec fittings you required and the attached dining area had a divine large table, big enough to fit the whole family about. Of course, if having dinner then sitting in front of the T.V. all night isn't your style, and to be honest you are on a break so why would you really; the local pub was just a two minute walk down the road in the village. Holiday cottages don't have to be in the middle of nowhere with no links to civilisation.

This was just one individual case of course, adapted to suit our specific requests, but rest guaranteed that no matter what you are looking for in your cottage you will find it! So, if you are searching for a good base for your vacation, which can provide you the freedom and flexibility to do what you feel like when you fancy, and not be cooped up in a hotel room, holiday cottages are certainly an brilliant option.
